Shaamu dan Jega were acquitted of murder charges in the High Court of Shah Alam. The victim, died following a fight outside a restaurant in 2008. Despite the prosecution’s case involving 22 witnesses, the defence, represented by Dato Geethan Ram and Revin Kumar, who took on the case during the defence stage, successfully raised reasonable doubt by calling 7 defence witnesses.
Judge YA Tuan Hasbullah Bin Adam acquitted both the men, leading to joyous reactions from their friends and family in the packed courtroom.
