In a case that has captivated public attention, Shanmuganathan and Mageswaran, who were charged with kidnap and murder, have been acquitted by the Muar High Court. The charges were under Section 3 of the Kidnapping Act and Section 302 of the Penal Code, which relate to kidnapping and murder, respectively. The court’s decision came at the end of the prosecution stage, marking a significant moment in the legal proceedings.
The trial took place in the Muar High Court, where the prosecution presented its case against Shanmuganathan and Mageswaran.
