South African National Acquitted of Cannabis Possession Charges in Court

Samra Rehan, a foreigner from South Africa, was found at an apartment and charged with possession of cannabis under Section 39A(1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act. Represented by counsels Dato Geethan Ram Vincent and Revin Kumar, at the end of the prosecution’s case, the court ruled that the prosecution had failed to prove a prima facie case. Consequently, Samra was acquitted.
